If she hadn't asked, it might take Peter a million years to. The whole ... timeline, giving her space thing, knowing what time she's from, it would make him hesitate. And yet - again - he knows it's only a matter of time. He's always been physically and mentally unable to keep away from her.

It's like, no matter what happens, no matter where they are, he'll always be drawn to her.

She's his path. She is always going to be his path. ]

[ she has to hold herself back from reminding him that he could say no, if he wanted to. peter might struggle between doing what he wants and what he thinks is right, and that dichotomy might've broken gwen's heart a little, but they've proved that he's perfectly capable of saying no when he doesn't want to do something.

Peter doesn't know if he cares about the consequences or if he should; he doesn't think it matters anyway because 'doing the right thing' hadn't worked in the past. Just like following his heart didn't work either.

But he loves her. He still loves her, and he knows without a doubt that a part of him always, always will - no matter what time she's from. Isn't he allowed a second chance, even if the circumstances are a little different? Like Spider-Gwen said, she's here now. His Gwen is here now. ]

i can but i'm biased

[ maybe she shouldn't do this, but geen used up all her self sacrificing strength of will on breaking up with him the first time. she'd rather be with peter than honor her own dead father's wishes, so on the moral scale she's pretty sure she knows where she lands. peter's a way better person than she is. but she's not afraid to say what she wants.

at least, not when it's something this important. ]

my schedule's pretty flexible most days. i mean nothing like three hour lunches but you know ... normal lunch hours.

i was thinking we could get like burgers or appies or something and then do an ice cream/beach combo thing, bumming around the boardwalk, but i'm not sure how long that would take i ate lunch at my desk a lot
